CLUBS

If you are interested in joining a club, please contact the coordinator listed. If you are interested in starting a club or know of a neighborhood group that should be included here, please contact Lisa Myers.

Bunco Club: Bunco is a dice game played with three sets of four players averaging a standard group of 12. Our games are upbeat and social in nature involving a lot of eating, drinking, and talking. Everyone brings an appetizer or dessert and wine/drinks to share. We meet the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at the clubhouse. This group consists only of women who reside in Oxxford Hunt, and we always welcome new players/neighbors! To join us or to learn more, contact: Amy Eischeid

Dinner Club: Newcomers Welcome! If you enjoy good conversation, meeting new people in the neighborhood, and trying different area restaurants, please join us. We meet the first Saturday evening of each month. For more information contact Debra Davis at 481-9691 or. Contact: Debra Davis

Wine Tasting Club: The wine tasting club consists of 20 or so couples, with new people joining and attending events each time. Generally the club lines up a representative from The Wine Merchant to come in and conduct a professional, educational tasting based on a pre-selected theme. Couples take turns hosting the tastings: lining up food (each couple brings an appetizer/dessert) collecting RSVP's and money ($10 per person to cover expenses). Past themes have included "wines from around the world", dessert wines, and Spanish wines. Meets quarterly at the clubhouse, generally on Friday evening. Email the Wine Tasting Club >>

Playgroup: The Cary Playgroup enables moms and their young children in Oxxford Hunt and the surrounding area time out for companionship and play. The children in the group range from newborn to those soon-to-be entering kindergarten, and all ages in between. We meet for regular play dates on Wednesday mornings from 10am-noon. We frequently meet at playgrounds, but also gather at a variety of other locations, including the Oxxford Hunt clubhouse, members houses, indoor play areas, and the local fire station. The moms and kids also enjoy some of our seasonal activities like berry picking, holiday parties, and swimming. In addition to the Wednesday morning outings, monthly Mom's-Night-Out events are an additional way that the mothers socialize together -- we go to restaurants, movies, comedy clubs, bowling, etc. If you and your baby and/or toddler and/or preschooler want to meet with us on Wednesday mornings, contact Amy Eischeid for more information.
